Privacy — Drive-Time Monitor
Drive-Time Monitor watches how long your chosen car journeys take, using live traffic, and flags when a route is running unusually slow. This note explains what it holds about you, why, and how to get it back or wipe it.
The service is operated by Camber Logic Ltd. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights below by hand, contact privacy@apex-analytical.ai.
What it holds
- Your email address — used only to sign you in. There are no passwords; you log in via a one-time link.
- The routes you add — the start and end points (map coordinates) and any labels you type. Be aware these can reveal places like your home or workplace.
- Travel-time history — for each route, the drive times, delays and any incident notes collected over time, with timestamps.
- Your TomTom API key — if you connect one, it's stored encrypted and used only to look up your own routes' drive times. It is never shown back to you or included in your data export.
- Sign-in session — a cookie that keeps you logged in, and the login records needed to make that work.
Why (legal basis)
Consent. You asked the service to monitor the routes you set up. You can withdraw at any time by deleting a route (removes its history) or deleting your account (erases everything).
Who it's shared with
Only the services needed to make it work, and never for advertising. Your data is not sold.
- TomTom — receives your route's coordinates to calculate drive times and traffic (via your own API key).
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — receives a search term or a dropped-pin coordinate when you look up a location, to turn it into a place name.
- SMTP2GO — sends your sign-in email, so it processes your email address.
- Netcup — hosts the server (in Germany, EU), where your data is stored.
Where it's stored, and for how long
On a server in Germany (EU). Your data is kept until you remove it: delete a route to erase that route's history, or delete your account to erase everything. There's no fixed expiry beyond that.
Your controls
Download my data and Delete my account are both on your account page, in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
- Access / portability — download everything held about you as a JSON file, anytime.
- Erasure — delete your account to permanently wipe your email, routes, history and stored key. This can't be undone.
- Withdraw consent — same as deleting; stop the monitoring by removing routes or your account.
Security
Passwordless sign-in, traffic served over HTTPS, and any TomTom key encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but the aim is to hold as little as possible and protect what there is.
